PGK Fieldtrip: Albania

The annual PGK field trip will be in Albania and will take place between 11th and 16th September, 2019.
The focus of the fieldtrip is:
– Sedimentology of the Ionian basin and its neighbouring platforms Kruja and Apulia
– Cretaceous carbonate platform to basin transition and fractured carbonates
– Reservoir potential in the Albania fold and thrust belt

The cost of the trip is € 350 (shared room) and € 440 (single room). The price includes 5 nights in hotels (3 to 4 stars), breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as entrance to the cultural sites.
Please be aware that the flights are NOT included in the price. You will need to plan your flights independently. The following direct flights are suggested:
Amsterdam (Schiphol) – Tirana airport:
Wednesday, 11th September 2019: Transavia HV5741, ETD 18:55 – ETA 21:30
Tirana airport – Amsterdam (Schiphol):
Monday, 16th September 2019: Transavia HV5741, ETD 08:50 – ETA 11:40
In case you book these flights, you will be picked up at Tirana airport at 22:00 hrs on the 11th of September. Departure is on Monday the 16th of September, ending with a drop off at the airport in the morning. If for some reason (logistics, price, etc.) you wish to book other flights, you are free to do so with the understanding that you will take care of your own transport by taxi from the airport to Kruja (± 15 km) and/or to the airport from Tirana (±25 km).
