TISOLS: Tenth International Symposium on Land Subsidence

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are pleased to announce that the registration is open.We are pleased to invite you to take part in the 10th International Symposium on Land Subsidence which will take place in Delft–Gouda, the Netherlands. The symposium is organised under the auspices of the Unesco IHP Land Subsidence International Initiative. This group has endeavored to improve and disseminate knowledge on land subsidence since the 1970s, through International Symposia on Land Subsidence, collaborative projects and publications.
TISOLS2020 will be held at the Aula of the Delft University of Technology in Delft in combination with a visit to the historical city of Gouda (Monday). Both cities are located in the heart of the subsiding Dutch coastal plain.
Following an icebreaker on Sunday 19 April, we will kick off TISOLS with The Subsidence & Science day on Monday 20 April in the St. Jans Church in Gouda where subsidence science meets decision makers and policy makers.
On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday we have an inspiring scientific programme.
On Wednesday 22 April excursions are planned to various locations in the Netherlands. And for those interested we have organised a 2-day visit to Ameland, one of the Wadden Sea Islands, from Friday 24 – Sunday 26 April.

Frans Barends Award:
