Staring lecture and symposium

This year’s Staring Lecture will be given on 17 October by Esther Stouthamer, on Quaternary Rivers and Deltas. The lecture will be followed by a symposium on the same theme organised in collaboration with INQUA. Confirmed speakers are:

Tim Winkels (WSP) – Nile River and ancient Egyptian landscapes

Elizabeth Chamberlain (Wageningen University) – Ganges River avulsion by neotections

Marc Hijma (Deltares) – Drowned North Sea river landscapes

Joep Storms (TU Delft) – Redistibution of river-sediments in the Lake Turkana system

 

The lecture and symposium will take place in the afternoon at TNO in Utrecht. You can register below.
