The KNGMG
The Society has set itself the following goals:

It represents the interests of Dutch earth scientists.

It provides opportunities to gain professional knowledge and meet professional peers.

It provides networking possibilities.

It conveys that earth sciences are important to society.

It contributes to the professionalization of the earth sciences profession.

These objectives are fulfilled by:
Organizing symposia, lectures, excursions and networking activities.
Collaborate with earth science student associations and contribute (financially) to the organization of activities for students and earth scientists in the field.
Publishing the Geo.brief, a full-color magazine published 8 times a year, in collaboration with NWO.
Publishing the Netherlands Journal of Geosciences (NJG), a renowned international peer-reviewed scientific journal, in collaboration with TNO.
Awarding honors for recognizing meritorious earth science work in the Netherlands.
