On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Paleobiological Circle, in collaboration with the Dutch Varen Vereniging, organizes the Paleobotany Symposium in the Oertijdmuseum in Boxtel.
This day will be focused around fossil plants and paleobotanical applications. We will pay extra attention to ferns, both fossil and contemporary. We will take you through time, from the Carboniferous to the present. With fascinating lectures by, among others, Remco Bosch, Johan Vellekoop, Marco de Jong, Hans Steur, en meer!
The symposium will take place in the Oertijdmuseum (Bosscheweg 80, Boxtel). Admission is from 10:30. The symposium is from 11:0016:00.
For members of the PaleoBiological Circle and the Dutch Varen Association this symposium is free. For non-members the symposium will cost a meager 11 euros. This includes a lunch credit for the restaurant of the Oertijdmuseum. Please note that this event has a limited number of visitors, first come, first served.
