Geological Fieldtrip to Helgoland

KNGMG Noord is organising a two-day fieldtrip to Helgoland, an island in the German North Sea with beautiful Triassic cliffs, pushed up by a underlying salt dome.We propose to travel to the ferry in Cuxhafen with a number of private cars. We will book the ferry and overnight accommodation. On the island, there is a safe footpath on top of the cliffs (up to 60m high), with good views. Access to the base of the cliffs is not allowed. There will be no climbing or exposure to danger spots. Excursion organisers cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
