Kring Noord KNGMG: lezing december

KNGMG kring Noord december lezing heeft als onderwerp:
“What do we and don’t we know about Geomechanical Modelling in the Groningen Area”. De lezing wordt gepresenteerd door Jan Dirk Jansen (TU Delft).

Zoals gewoonlijk vindt de lezing plaats in het hoofdgebouw van de NAM, Schepersmaat 2 te Assen. Vanaf 16:30 uur staan soft drinks en snacks klaar bij de ‘Gele Kamer’ (2J.04).

About the presenter:
Since 2005, Jan Dirk Jansen is Professor of Reservoir Systems and Control at the TU Delft, and since early 2018 also Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences. Before 2010 he worked for Shell in the Netherlands, Norway and Nigeria. His research domain is the use of systems and control theory for influencing and optimizing subsurface flow and mechanics. For many years he focused on oil and gas production but more recently he has become increasingly interested in  geothermal energy applications and production- or injection-induced seismicity, also in the Groningen field.
