PGK fieldtrip: ‘t Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe
We would like to invite you for our PGK day trip on Friday 5th of July to the inter- and intratidal deposits in ‘t Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe at the Westerschelde.
In the morning a local guide will give us a three hour tour through the protected area of the nature reserve and will among others give an overview of the flora and fauna in this unique landscape. Joining us is Dr. M. E. Donselaar who will elaborate on the inter- and intratidal deposits of the Westerschelde.
In the afternoon we will visit the lovely city of Antwerpen and have a tour through the Pakhuis brewery. Naturally we will also taste some of the home brewed beers during this tour which will conclude the trip.
Lunch, transport and beer tasting are included. We will meet at 8.30 hrs at Rotterdam CS and will return there around 1900 hrs.
The price of the trip will be 35,- euros, for PGK members only. For the tour through ‘t Verdronken Land van Seafthinge a reasonable stamina is needed. It is also necessary to bring high boots with you for this part of the trip.
